The Innovation Hub of the Vienna Economic Chamber (IHW) is the innovation center that supports Viennese companies through digital services and forward-looking technologies.

Your responsibilities:

As a Fullstack Developer, you will help shape the digital transformation of Vienna together with us and work on exciting projects that secure and expand the competitiveness of the local economy.

• You will develop user-centered applications based on react-native for hybrid or native mobile applications.
• You will develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems that meet the requirements of our digital applications.
• You will design and maintain APIs for the seamless integration of various systems and applications.
• You will optimize database structures and implement efficient solutions for data transfer and storage.
• You will integrate AI and machine learning models into existing applications and work with data scientists to create innovative solutions.
• You have a good eye for design and work closely with UX/UI designers to develop elegant, accessible interfaces. You implement automated tests, identify technical problems, and ensure continuous improvement of software quality.
• You work in an interdisciplinary team of developers, designers, and product managers using agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.

What you should bring:

• Several years of experience in fullstack development (at least 3–5 years), ideally with Python & React
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other API technologies.
• Expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban and initial experience with DevOps approaches.
• Experience in integrating AI or machine learning approaches into applications is a strong plus.
• A good sense for UI/UX and the ability to implement design systems consistently.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate technical content to non-technical stakeholders.
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken, German is a plus
• You enjoy working in a team and can clearly communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Annual gross salary starting at 60.000 Euro (on a full-time basis) with the possibility of higher pay according to experience and qualifications.
