This pivotal role will focus on providing expert analytical insights into Direct and Contingent exposure, supporting strategic risk management decisions. Our team is responsible for advanced analysis of complex credit risk data, identifying key drivers, trends, and potential impacts on the wholesale portfolio. The Data Analytics Team leverages sophisticated methodologies to deliver actionable intelligence, contributing directly to the strategic understanding and mitigation of credit risk.Key Responsibilities:Lead advanced analytical deep dives into Direct and Contingent exposure data to identify underlying risk factors, concentrations, emerging trends and potential issues.Integrate analytical investigations and findings with tactical and strategic solutions, including topside adjustments, finance balance adjustments, and DCRM tracking, to ensure effective risk mitigation and financial accuracy.Develop and implement analytical methodologies to assess credit risk movements across the wholesale lending portfolio, with a focus on Direct and Contingent exposures.Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable strategic insights for senior management and business stakeholders.Design and develop executive-level visualizations to communicate key risk metrics and analytical conclusions effectively.Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on best practices in credit risk analytics, data interpretation, and quantitative modeling.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk Management, Technology, and Business Units.Act as a subject matter expert for Direct and Contingent exposure analysis, mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of analytical excellence.Contribute significantly to senior management presentations, articulating complex analytical strategies, program updates, and strategic recommendations.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 6 years of extensive experience in data analytics, quantitative analysis, or risk reporting within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Wholesale Credit Risk and Direct/Contingent exposure.Domain Expertise: Expert-level understanding of credit risk measures, attributes, and banking products, particularly related to wholesale lending and exposure types (Direct/Contingent).Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets.Communication & Leadership: Superior oral and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
