At FairWind, we believe that reliable operations start long before our teams reach a wind turbine.

They start with trustworthy equipment, strong processes, and people who take responsibility for quality.

Right now, we’re looking for a Calibration Engineer who will make sure that all the tools and safety equipment our technicians rely on are compliant, certified, and ready for the field — every single time.

If you’re someone who enjoys structure, clarity, and making systems better, this role will suit you perfectly.

Your Role

What you’ll take ownership of

This is not just about calibration. This is about building confidence — internally and for our clients.

  • Ensuring calibration quality

    • Managing internal and external calibrations across a range of technical equipment.
    • Reviewing certificates, spotting deviations, and preventing issues before equipment goes out to projects.
  • Keeping documentation sharp and audit‑ready

    • Maintaining complete, accurate calibration records aligned with ISO and client requirements.
    • Making sure supplier documentation is correct and delivered on time.
  • Working with suppliers & technical partners

    • Coordinating with calibration labs, procurement, warehouse, QHSE, and project teams.
    • Verifying that suppliers deliver the right training and services — at the right standard.
  • Improving calibration systems

    • Optimizing and maintaining our calibration database and certificate records to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong compliance.
    • Supporting continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and calibration‑related processes.
  • Facility Management responsibilities

    • Coordinating with facility partners to ensure all NCE locations operate smoothly and safely.
    • Overseeing key areas such as heating, ventilation, and seasonal readiness (summer/winter preparedness).
    • Ensuring compliance of facility‑related services delivered by external suppliers.

Your qualifications

We’ll value your mindset as much as your technical background.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electronics).
  • Experience in calibration, metrology, or other regulated technical environments.
  • Strong understanding of calibration tools, software, and relevant standards.
  • Knowledge of lifting equipment and related safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to collaborate with suppliers, technical partners, and facility management teams across NCE.
  • Willingness to travel for audits, supplier coordination, or support to NCE locations — approximately 60 days per year.

Your strengths

  • Analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
  • A structured way of working and commitment to consistency and compliance.

What we offer

  • You’ll join a team that values people who are proactive, straightforward, and focused on doing things the right way.
  • Your work will directly support operational excellence and safety across our projects.
  • And you’ll be part of an international environment where high standards, good energy, and teamwork go hand in hand.
