The role combines cloud engineering and automation with hands-on work deploying and integrating LLM and SLM models into production environments, with a focus on security, scalability, and operational reliability.You'll work as part of our Data Science and AI Engineering team, collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver well-architected, production-grade AI infrastructure.WHAT YOU'LL WORK ONArchitecture and deploymentContribute to the architecture and deployment of AI, ML, and GenAI solutions — including LLM and SLM systems — across enterprise client environments.Infrastructure automationAutomate infrastructure provisioning, model lifecycle management, and inference pipelines using IaC and scripting best practices.CI/CD for AI workloadsBuild and maintain CI/CD processes designed for AI, ML, and GenAI workloads, ensuring reliable and repeatable delivery pipelines.Cloud infrastructureDesign and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with a primary focus on Azure, balancing performance, cost optimisation, and compliance.Stakeholder collaborationSupport technical advisory work and contribute to client-facing solution design, translating infrastructure requirements into clear, actionable recommendations.Cross-functional coordinationWork across data science, engineering, and product teams to align AI engineering decisions with business outcomes and SLAs.Monitoring, cost, and complianceEnsure cost optimisation, environment monitoring, and compliance controls are maintained across all managed infrastructure.Best practices and innovationPromote engineering best practices and contribute to the team's adoption of new GenAI tooling and approaches.WHAT WE LOOK FOR5+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with AI/ML exposureSolid background in cloud and DevOps engineering, with direct experience on AI, ML, or GenAI projects in production environments.Proven LLM and SLM deployment experienceDemonstrated experience deploying large and small language models into production systems beyond research or PoC contexts.Expert Linux and macOS administrationDeep, hands-on proficiency administering Linux and macOS environments at scale.Advanced Python and scriptingStrong Python skills applied to automation, integration, and tooling. Comfortable writing production-quality scripts that others depend on.Deep IaC and CI/CD knowledgeExpert-level knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD platforms, with experience applying them to AI and ML delivery pipelines.THE TEAMYou'll join a specialist Data Science and AI Engineering practice working alongside experienced data scientists, ML engineers, and cloud engineers.
