Introduction

Gasfin is where engineering meets impact. Since 2009, we’ve been building and managing world-class LNG infrastructure projects across the globe—from the drawing board to real-world delivery. Our clients include governments, energy companies, and infrastructure operators, all working toward the same goal: secure, stable, and sustainable energy.

In 2023, we became the lead consultant and On-Site Operations Manager for Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET)—Germany’s state-owned terminal operator, created to respond to the national energy supply challenges triggered by the Ukraine crisis.
We believe energy should be reliable, affordable, and future-ready. That’s why we view LNG as a powerful transition fuel on the path to greener energy systems.

Tasks

  • Manage and administer multiple small and medium-sized contracts across the full contract lifecycle (from tendering and award through execution and close-out).
  • Track contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, and performance metrics across numerous parallel work packages.
  • Support procurement and tender processes for EPC and O&M related packages, including preparation of bid documentation, commercial evaluation, and contract award recommendations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and amendments (e.g., EPC sub-packages, supply agreements, logistics contracts, spare parts agreements, service contracts).
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, logistics, legal, and finance teams to ensure alignment between contractual commitments and operational execution.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, including liability exposure, performance guarantees, liquidated damages, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage variations, change orders, claims, and extensions of time (EOT), ensuring proper documentation and commercial assessment.
  • Maintain structured contract tracking tools (contract registers, obligation trackers, risk logs) to ensure transparency across multiple ongoing packages.
  • Support spare parts procurement, logistics coordination, and supplier management in operational or offshore environments, where applicable.
  • Contribute to commercial strategy by ensuring that contractual structures support project profitability and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of professional experience in:
  • EPC project environments (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), or
  • Procurement / contracts management of technical packages, or
  • Spare parts / logistics contract management in offshore wind, energy infrastructure, or comparable sectors.
  • Proven experience managing and tracking multiple small and medium-sized contracts simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience in procurement processes, contract drafting, and negotiation of technical supply or service agreements.
  • Solid understanding of EPC structures, contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC), and supplier management in infrastructure or energy projects
  • Experience in offshore wind, LNG, energy infrastructure, or comparable asset-heavy environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify contractual risks and mitigation measures.
  • Highly structured working style with the ability to maintain oversight across many parallel contract packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface between technical, legal, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (German is a strong plus)
