Development Engineer - Software for Manufacturing (m/w/x)

Your tasks

In this role, you will support our manufacturing organization by developing and maintaining software solutions that enable efficient, reliable, and scalable production processes. By working closely with manufacturing engineers and technicians, you help translate new product requirements into robust manufacturing software within an international technology environment.

• Development and maintenance of software tools and applications supporting manufacturing and production setups
• Translation of manufacturing and production requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions
• Close collaboration with manufacturing engineers and technicians as a software partner within production environments
• Support of Lean manufacturing initiatives through software-based process optimization and workflow improvements
• Contribution to continuous improvement (KVP) activities to enhance software functionality and production support
• Analysis and resolution of software-related issues impacting manufacturing processes
• Documentation and ongoing optimization of manufacturing-related software solutions

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field
• Professional experience in software development, ideally within a manufacturing or production-related environment
• Strong proficiency in software development and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and requirements
• Experience or basic knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement approaches in production environments
• Analytical mindset combined with a structured, solution-oriented way of working
• High level of engagement, clear communication skills, and strong ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Very good English skills (written and spoken); German skills are an advantage
