Head of (m/f/d) Supply Chain Management

Hamburg – permanent position – full-time

Tasks:

• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop a motivated supply chain team of approximately six members, enhancing their capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers while maintaining strong relationships and securing the best terms for the company.
• Collaborate internationally with cross-cultural teams to enhance the global supply chain strategy.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to improve supply chain performance.
• Adapt to and thrive in a high-ambiguity, fast-paced environment typical of a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated supply chain experience in the pharmaceutical sector, with a proven track record in leadership.
• Strong contract negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate relationships.
• Willingness to be based in Hamburg and travel internationally on a regular basis
• Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
• Experience working within an international framework and culturally diverse environments.
• A proactive, ambitious mindset with the ability to navigate challenges and drive results.
• High resilience and stress tolerance.
• Ability to see the big picture and prioritize effectively.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch and/or improving legacy processes.
