Intern Software Development and Automation (m/f/d)

Your tasks

- Design, develop, and maintain software components and automation tools with a strong focus on Python development and object‑oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Contribute to building and improving internal applications, scripting solutions, and automation workflows to support engineering and testing activities.
- Implement clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code following best software development practices.
- Troubleshoot software issues, perform debugging, and support continuous improvement of existing tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and support integration of developed tools.
- Participate in research and prototyping of new automation capabilities or software modules.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for developed applications and automation processes.

Your qualifications

- Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- This position is offered exclusively as a mandatory internship according to the study regulations, with a minimum duration of 6 months.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts and experience applying them in practical projects.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including familiarity with modules, package structures, and development best practices.
- Good understanding of software development workflows and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
