For our location in Hanover we are looking for you with immediate effect as an

Intern/Working Student (m/f/d) in Generative AI

to join our engineering team and work on cutting-edge applications of Generative AI for optimizing designs in electrical and mechanical simulations. Expect hands-on experience applying AI-driven optimization techniques to simulation workflows, enhancing product performance and efficiency.

You will take on the following tasks:

• Develop and implement generative AI models for design optimization
• Integrate AI algorithms with Finite Element Method (FEM) and other simulation tools
• Analyze simulation results and propose design improvements
• Collaborate with engineers to automate optimization workflows
• Document methodologies and present findings to the team

Your qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong Python skills (AI/ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch a plus)
• Knowledge of optimization techniques and simulation tools (FEM, CAD)
• Familiarity with generative AI (GANs, diffusion models, etc.)
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with multi-physics or electromagnetic/mechanical simulations
• Understanding of design optimization algorithms (genetic, topology optimization)
