Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java.
• Actively contribute to software development and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and support their technical growth.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Tech Leads, and the Head of Engineering on technical decisions.
• Ensure the quality, architecture, and reliability of systems, including SRE/DevOps considerations.

Our requirements

• Experience & Leadership
• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale systems.
• Strong technical leadership skills: decision-making, fostering team trust, removing roadblocks, and promoting autonomy with accountability.
• Core Concepts
• Test-Driven Development (TDD), Clean Code, SOLID principles, GoF Design Patterns.
• System and code architectures: Layered, Hexagonal, Modular Monolith, Microservices.
• API development, system design, and database fundamentals (RDBMS, NoSQL, ACID vs. BASE).
• Technology Stack
• Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, Maven, PostgreSQL, JPA/Hibernate.
• AWS (EKS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB, VPC, Load Balancers, Route 53, SQS, SNS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
• Intermediate SRE/DevOps: Jenkins + Groovy, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Additional Skills
• CI/CD, observability, resilience, scalability, security, networking.
• Familiarity with decision-making frameworks (e.g., RAPID).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Mindset
• Results-oriented, focused on improving KPIs and DORA metrics.
