Your role at a glance
In your role as Maintenance Coordinator (m/f/d), you are central to our technical success in Hattersheim. Acting as an internal partner, you collaborate closely with our on-site team to keep operations running flawlessly. You thrive under pressure, staying organized during time-critical moments to prioritize effectively and manage external contractors with ease.
Tasks:
- Act as main point of contact for external vendors and clients
- Schedule, monitor and supervise the activities of all vendors providing service on the site’s infrastructure, especially critical infrastructure components such as UPS systems, generators, transfer switches, electrical distribution equipment, fire detection and suppression systems and building automation controls
- Ensure that all works in the data center are performed according to an approved MOP or SOP
- Correspond to all emails, raise tasks and deliver tasks to customers
- Coordinate and manage maintenance notifications from vendors and report to clients as required
- Collate and review method statements and risk assessments and highlight any risks that are apparent from a business continuity perspective
- Ensure all maintenance is being carried out as per maintenance schedules
- Ensure all corrective maintenance is scheduled and carried out in a timely manner
- Support creating periodic client reports in line with agreed SLA’s and KPI’s, capturing all required data
- Liaise with vendors on repairs and maintenance issues
- Organize regular business reviews with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with ISO, Security, fire and Health & Safety-related policies and procedures
- Support the business by planning and scheduling maintenance works with external vendors
- Update systems, maintain information and carry out general administrative tasks
- Ensure regular reporting on overall maintenance status to site manager
- Ensure all service partners and specialist subcontractors / vendors adhere to strict service guidelines and maintain the SLA metrics required to support your site and our customers
- Work with our central procurement team as required to ensure we get the very best from all our vendors
- Budget responsibility for all maintenance activities
- Audit support for all maintenance activities
Requirements/Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or a related field. Proven affinity for technical systems and data center infrastructure.
- Several years of experience in operating, maintaining and servicing data center-specific technology and infrastructure
- Comfortable working through ambiguity, bringing clarity and control in a dynamic environment
- Strong thinking in processes (knowledge of ITIL Best Practices is an advantage)
- Very good written and spoken knowledge of German and English
Competences/personal characteristics:
- Administrative experience with excellent attention to detail.
- Good numerical and literacy skills and high levels of computer literacy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- Good analytical / problem-solving skills
- Customer focused, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good relationship-building skills
- Independent, reliable and efficient approach to work
- Good team worker, highly motivated, flexible
- Self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learn
- Keen to share knowledge with colleagues
- To possess initiative with an inquisitive nature, unafraid to ask appropriate questions
