Introduction & SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Purview Security Engineer with a strong background in information security and data protection. The ideal candidate will possess at least 6 years of experience in related roles and have hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security tools, including Microsoft Entra ID. This position requires a proactive approach to data security, compliance, and incident response, while also demonstrating excellent collaboration and communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment.Main ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions for data discovery, classification, labeling, and loss prevention.Deploy and configure Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and authorization services.Ensure data security and compliance with internal policies.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and technical problems related to Microsoft Purview.Monitor system health and alerts to identify potential security issues.Create and maintain documentation and user guides for security processes.Stay current with Purview updates and industry best practices.Monitor and respond to security incidents, such as data leakage or unauthorized access.Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to align security controls.Provide training and guidance on data protection best practices.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).6+ years of experience in information security, data protection, or related roles.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security tools.Strong knowledge of data classification and loss prevention technologies.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR).Experience with incident response and security operations.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Nice to HaveMicrosoft certifications (e.g., SC-400, SC-300, MS-500).Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure).Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).Experience in a multinational or highly regulated environment.Other DetailsThis role may involve remote work options and is suitable for professionals with a solid foundation in data security within regulated industries.
