Middle ML/AI Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior ML/AI Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a leading global provider that gathers information and reports to enhance the environmental and social impacts on the business. The team is building AI applications that detect global supply chain disruptions 24/7. The team maintains the current media-monitoring AI pipelines and builds new ones as needed. Additionally, they are applying Generative AI to automate risk analysis and risk mitigation in the context of Supply Chain Risk Management. Requirements:3+ years of experience in delivering production AI/ML systems; strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and software engineering fundamentals (tests, CI/CD, code reviews).Proven experience with LLM applications in production, such as RAG, embeddings, vector search, and model versioning.Experience in model training/evaluation (PyTorch; scikit-learn) with reproducible pipelines and experiment tracking.Understanding of cloud deployment and operations on AWS and/or Azure (security/IAM, scaling, cost awareness).Expertise in designing clean APIs/services (e.g., FastAPI) and communicating trade-offs in English.Experience with agent frameworks such as Pydantic AI and LangGraph.Nice to have:Understanding hybrid retrieval/search, reranking, and vector databases.Experience with ML platforms MLflow, AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, Azure ML, Snowflake, and Databricks.Familiarity with Infrastructure as code and containers: Terraform and Docker.Familiarity with responsible AI and AI security (prompt-injection defenses).Responsibilities:Ship production GenAI/ML features for the supply chain risk management domain.Work with AI engineers, Data Engineers, Product, and Architects to bring AI to production.Build reliable LLM systems (RAG, multi-agent workflows) optimized for latency, cost, and trust.Train and fine-tune models (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow) and productionize them.Own evaluation and rollout (human review, A/B testing, model versioning).Operate AI in production (monitoring, quality metrics, drift detection).We offer:US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.Regular performance appraisals to support your growth.Flexibility in workspace, either remote or our welcoming office.Bonuses for article writing, public talks, and other activities.Generous time off, including vacation, national holidays, sick leaves, and family days.Personalized learning programs tailored to your interests and skill development.Free tech webinars and meetups organized by Svitla.Regular corporate online activities.Awesome team and a friendly, supportive community!
