Principal Data Integration Architect

Your responsibilities

• Architect and maintain large-scale data integration solutions leveraging Heroku, Heroku Connect, Heroku Kafka, Redis, and Heroku Postgres.
• Design secure, scalable data pipelines between Heroku and enterprise ecosystems, including Salesforce and hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments.
• Define integration patterns, governance frameworks, and architectural principles across engineering teams.
• Lead the delivery of complex, multi-system integration initiatives, including event-driven and API-based architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate data strategy into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and shape long-term data and integration architecture strategy.
• Provide architectural oversight and mentor engineering teams on integration best practices.
• Drive operational excellence through performance optimization, monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering.

Our requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, or cloud engineering
• Strong background in cloud-native environments (Heroku, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience designing scalable, secure, enterprise-level integration solutions
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, APIs, and data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Understanding of Salesforce integrations and distributed systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
