ZEISS Research Microscopy Solutions is a world leader in the manufacture of microscopy systems for the visualisation of the tiniest structures and particles in the fields of research and science. Our light, electron and X-ray microscopes as well as software solutions that utilise AI technology enable groundbreaking discoveries in life science, materials and industrial research as well as for education and clinical practice. Renowned scientists rely on ZEISS microscopes for their research, including Robert Koch, who discovered the tuberculosis pathogen around 1900.

As a product manager for Electron Microscopy, you would assume global responsibility for the product management of EM products within a strongly growing portfolio (>15% p.a. over the last two years). You will be working in a supportive team with high ambitions and passion for what they do

• Actively drive the development and communication of product development projects in close collaboration with all stakeholders
• Contribute to the product development roadmap by conducting market research to identify customer needs and resulting product requirements
• Work closely with R&D teams to ensure that product development is aligned with customer needs and validate new product features personally
• Develop go-to-market strategies together with our sales & marketing colleagues, including product positioning, pricing, and promotion
• Monitor product performance and customer feedback to continuously improve product features and functionality

Your profile

• University degree in natural sciences, material sciences, or similar - PhD in similar field advantageous, ideally including touchpoints with electron microscopy or similar imaging technologies
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electron microscopy, e-beam instrumentation, or similar
• Experience in product management, project management, marketing for scientific or industrial instrumentation is advantageous
• Highly structured approach to problem-solving
• Outstanding communication skills & ability to deliver complex messages in a simple and to-the-point manner to a large variety of stakeholders and audiences
• Ability to quickly create trust and build a strong network within various departments
• Exceptional work ethic and commitment to deliver results
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory for this position
