If you haven’t been in contact with us before, a partnership with emagine might be of interest to you.emagine is a high-end consultancy firm headquartered in Copenhagen, delivering tailored services and expertise through a global network of expert consultants.As a freelance Cloud / Platform Operations Engineer, you can be involved in assignments as an expert advisor, as part of an emagine delivery team, or as a trusted consultant embedded within one of our client organizations.📅 The project is scheduled to start in January.In Romania, we have a growing office in Bucharest, and across Europe, more than 5,000 consultants are working on exciting international projects.Benefits of joining our consultant database:Access to a wide range of international projects where you can operate and scale real-world production platformsAssignments aligned with your technical expertise and operational strengthsOpportunities to expand your cloud and platform portfolio and advance your consulting careerMain Responsibilities:Operate, scale, and secure AWS-based production platformsSupport containerized workloads running on ECS FargateManage and operate large-scale or scheduled workloads using AWS BatchEnsure secure access management using IAM (roles, policies, permission boundaries, cross-account access)Operate and support Windows Server environments at scaleManage Active Directory and its integration with AWS Directory ServicesParticipate in on-call rotations, incident handling, and root cause analysisCollaborate closely with application, data, and infrastructure teamsKey Requirements:Strong general AWS knowledge, including networking, security, monitoring, and cost awarenessHands-on experience with ECS Fargate and AWS BatchSolid understanding of IAM concepts and best practicesOperational experience with Windows Server environmentsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Active DirectoryExperience supporting production systems and handling incidentsStrong English communication skillsRelated Technologies / Domain Knowledge:Familiarity with data and ETL platforms in AWS (Athena, Glue, data lakes)Experience working with relational databases (SQL, preferably MSSQL)Experience with Python or scripting for automation and operational toolingNice to Have:Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures (Kafka, Flink)Exposure to non-relational or column-oriented datastores
