  • Train and develop accounting capabilities within the organization, fostering a strong accounting community to ensure accurate and compliant accounting practices in Global South Country Offices
  • Lead the consolidation processes and systems of Global South Country Offices
  • Serve as the focal point for accounting-related audits and reporting
  • Follow up on management letters and audit reports to implement improvements
  • Close collaboration with group and project controlling to ensure alignment in finance processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in internal accounting of an international organisation or in an audit/advisory company
  • Strong knowledge of Austrian & international accounting principles, practices, and standards
  • Expertise in consolidation processes and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (BMD knowledge advantageous)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on mentality and excellent communication and presentation skills to facilitate accounting related workshops
  • Experience in developing and implementing internal control frameworks
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Benefits

Place of work: Vienna, Austria
Duration: Full time (38h)
Salary: from 50.000€ (full time)
Effective as of: ASAP

  • You join a highly motivated team, appreciating your experience and eager to jointly shape Light for the World’s monitoring and steering mechanisms
  • We are offering an outstanding opportunity to bring about change through an international development organization with strong expertise and a growing profile
  • We are committed to giving our colleagues space to explore new directions, test new ideas and to excel as individuals through and with their team.
  • We emphasize a good work-life-balance, have flexible working hours and Home-Office opportunity
  • We are a professional team that strives towards continuous development. We believe in participatory leadership and expect you to contribute your expertise and ideas. We believe that learning from mistakes is an important way of developing and put emphasis on our culture of learning
