Senior AWS Platform Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland (2 days/week in-office)Contract duration: April-October 2026Rate: up to 190 PLN/hSummaryThe role of a Senior AWS Platform Engineer is aimed at driving the productization of AWS core services, fostering innovation through cloud technology, and supporting sustainable practices in a business context.Main ResponsibilitiesProductize AWS native services: Design and build standardized, enterprise-ready cloud products (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3).Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform/CloudFormation.Embed governance and security controls into AWS products.Enable developers with onboarding guides, training, and self-service templates.Foster collaboration with product owners and application teams.Ensure operational excellence through resilience and cost optimization.Key RequirementsStrong hands-on experience with various AWS services.Proficiency with Terraform, AWS AFT, or CloudFormation.Experience with GitHub Actions, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS.Understanding of identity management concepts (IAM).Knowledge of AWS networking concepts.Ability to think in a product-oriented manner.Strong communication skills for team collaboration.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible).Experience with observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana).Experience with agile and DevOps practices.Leadership potential to mentor junior engineers.Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance frameworks.
