Data Engineer (Azure / Databricks)Location: Poland (primarily remote)Office: WrocławRate: 170–190 PLN / hour (B2B)About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join a stable and long‑term project team within the Data & AI area of a global automotive leader.In this role, you will design, build, and optimize modern data pipelines and contribute to scalable, production‑grade data products supporting Sales. This is a hands‑on and highly collaborative position, ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex data challenges into reliable solutions.Working ModelPrimarily remote work (One visit in office per 8-10 weeks in Wrocław)Key ResponsibilitiesThis role combines two major streams of work:Maintenance and support of existing critical data solutions built on Synapse / IICSStrategic redesign and migration of these solutions to a modern Databricks‑based architectureYou will also:Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Python, and SparkImplement and maintain data solutions across the Azure Data PlatformBuild and maintain APIs for data ingestion, sharing, and interoperabilityWork closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsEnsure data quality, security, and complianceIntegrate data pipelines into wider business processes and cross‑functional systemsContinuously improve performance, scalability, and cost‑efficiency of data environmentsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong knowledge of the IICS stackStrong expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, and SparkSolid experience with Azure Data Services (Data Lake, ADF)Experience with ingestion tools such as Qlik Replicate, MQ, MQCCExperience with API development (REST / JSON)Solid understanding of ETL, data modeling, and data architecture principlesKnowledge of CI/CD and version control (Git)Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work in an agile modelExcellent communication skills and stakeholder collaboration abilitiesNice to HaveExperience with big data and Spark performance tuningKnowledge of data governance, lineage, and security practicesExposure to Power BI or similar BI toolsBenefitsPrivate healthcare packageSports card programAccess to professional learning & development platformsLong‑term cooperation with a global organizationWork with modern cloud & data technologies in a mature environment
