Senior IT Business Analyst (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

• Translate business needs into implementable User Stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with architecture,
• Map AS‑IS processes and design TO‑BE processes. Create BPMN diagrams aligned with system changes,
• Define system and data requirements: data flows, APIs, integrations, data mappings, and interface specifications together with IT and system owners,
• Co‑create high‑level solution architecture with the IT Architect (applications, integrations, non‑functional aspects),
• Help business and IT evaluate solution options and trade‑offs (cost, complexity, risk, time),
• Run workshops with business and IT teams to collect and clarify requirements. Document scope, KPIs, and success criteria,
• Manage and refine the backlog together with the Product Owner, including dependencies and technical enablers,
• Prepare test scenarios, support UAT, and help review defects by clarifying requirements, data, and expected system behaviour,
• Lead change tasks: perform impact analysis on processes, systems, and data; update documentation and inform stakeholders,
• Report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager/PO and stakeholders; propose mitigation plans.

Our requirements

• 4–5 years as an IT/Business Analyst on digital projects (energy/utilities, banking/finance, or telco),
• Proven experience as a lead Business Analyst on large projects,
• Master’s degree in IT/ICT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field,
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop skills. Able to bridge business and IT,
• Solid requirements work: User Stories, acceptance criteria, BPMN, and basic data modeling,
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, BPM tools, and digital whiteboards (e.g., Miro/Mural). SQL basics or API understanding is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Polish energy market (especially CSIRE) and gas industry is a plus (not required),
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work under time pressure,
• Very good spoken and written business English; fluent Polish
