Senior Shopify Engineer

Build, maintain, and optimize high-performing Shopify storefronts across international markets.
Develop reusable, performant Liquid components and custom Shopify applications.
Ensure storefronts can be easily managed by non-technical stakeholders.
Partner with e-commerce leaders to identify and implement improvements that boost conversion and customer satisfaction.
Own analytics tooling and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
Translate insights from experiments, dashboards, and user behavior into technical solutions.
Integrate third-party tools, services, and partners into the Shopify ecosystem.
Act as the technical liaison between Shopify and upstream/downstream systems (finance, accounting, fulfillment, data platforms).
Ensure compliance with security, financial, and infrastructural standards.

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Shopify development using Liquid or similar templating languages.
Experience building Shopify apps using JavaScript, Rust, or comparable technologies.
Solid understanding of Git-based workflows (e.g., GitHub).
Experience working with GraphQL and consuming APIs.
Background working on large-scale e-commerce platforms with complex product catalogs.
Familiarity with analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude, heatmaps, Triple Whale, or Microsoft Clarity.
Experience building dashboards and interpreting performance data using observability tools (e.g., Datadog or similar).
Comfortable partnering closely with non-technical stakeholders across multiple functions.
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, pragmatic, and focused on delivering business value through technology.
