Transition Manager

A client is looking for an experienced Transition Manager with strong technical competencies to lead the transition of a mission‑critical national IT application into a new operational setup. The ideal consultant has a solid technical foundation, proven experience with large public tenders, and the ability to produce precise and compliant tender documentation.Main ResponsibilitiesDefine the end‑to‑end transition strategy and phased transition planDescribe transition activities, milestones, dependencies, and quality gatesOutline customer involvement and cooperation with stakeholders and other suppliersEstimate transition costs and document assumptions, risks, and cost driversDefine governance, decision rights, and escalation during the transitionOutline customer involvement and cooperation with stakeholders and suppliersDefine customer responsibilities, inputs, approvals, and acceptance activitiesEstablish project controls, reporting, and methods for risk, issue, and change managementEnsure alignment between transition activities, testing, and operational readinessDefine handover to steady‑state operationsSupport clarification responses related to transition and costKey RequirementsProven experience as Transition Manager or Project Manager on large, mission‑critical IT applications or infrastructureStrong technical understanding and experience with complex IT development or system transitionsAbility to produce precise, structured, and auditable documentation for formal tender submissionsExperience with transitions requiring high availability, resilience, and strict security requirementsExperience estimating and structuring transition costs in public or regulated tendersStrong understanding of transition governance, project management, and service acceptanceExperience collaborating with customers in regulated or high‑assurance environmentsStrong stakeholder management and coordination skillsAbility to operate under fixed deadlines and high scrutinyFluent in Danish – oral and writtenOtherStart: ASAPWorkload: Full-timeLocation: CopenhagenDuration: 7-9 months
